On September 7th, Puerto Vallarta witnessed a profound demonstration of solidarity and empathy during the AMASFACTON 2025 Race for Inclusion. This event transcended a mere athletic competition; it stood as a powerful symbol of unity, meticulously organized by Fundación Andrea 3.21. The outcome significantly surpassed expectations, resulting in a remarkable total of $232,350 pesos raised.

Fundación Andrea 3.21: Championing Inclusivity

To fully grasp the race's significance, one must understand the organizer: Fundación Andrea 3.21. As President Karen Malacara explained, the event is "much more than a sporting activity: it is a symbol of unity, empathy, and commitment towards children and young people with Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and neuromotor disorders."

The Foundation, expertly led by Director Sara Cardona, focuses on equipping these children and their families with the tools necessary to build brighter futures, grounded in the belief that inclusion must be an everyday practice. The funds raised will be allocated to crucial scholarships covering physical, cognitive, and speech therapies, essential services for the beneficiaries attending Centro 321. According to Fernando Castro, the Foundation’s treasurer, "Today, you made a difference and contributed so that our babies, children, and young people... can continue with their scholarships."

Beyond the Finish Line: A Festival of Empathy

The AMASFACTON Race for Inclusion was truly a community festival. Its distinctive gesture was the invitation to wear mismatched socks, a simple yet powerful symbol of support for diversity and inclusion. This symbolic act, championed by Director Sara Cardona, transformed the race into a wider movement of love and solidarity.

With fundraising efforts surpassing the previous year's goal, this event not only provided direct financial assistance but also significantly amplified the cause's voice, multiplying hope and empathy throughout Puerto Vallarta. These types of initiatives demonstrate that when the community, the government, and corporations like Gova Casa unite, the path toward a fully inclusive society is not merely an aspiration, it is a reality built with every step of solidarity.
